They occur in a very wide variety of formations, colors, and clarities.

Rainbow Moonstone beads are generally semi-translucent and white beads with occasional blue iridescent flashes as it moves. They are used in making power beads bracelets and necklaces and are believed to enhance the emotional stability as well as to cure from physical and mental ailments. These beads also come in different shapes in forms of briolette, rondelles, cushions, Oval, Marquise, tear-drops etc. The user can have them in their desired shapes and sizes. Blue Sapphire Beads popularly called as ‘neelam’ are gemstones in the corundum species consisting of pure aluminum oxide that are crystallized as a result of pressure and heat at a deep depth giving this species its extreme hardness just like diamond. The presence of small amounts of other elements, especially iron and chrome, are responsible for coloring Corundum the many shades of blue, purple, colorless, red, yellow, pink and green. The blue sapphire beads are most favorite gemstones for jewelry makers and they are used in rings, pendants and necklaces. Their market value and price depends on the purity, cut and clarity of the beads.  

Turquoise is by nature a soft stone and hence jewelers use color shots to stabilize the turquoise such that they can be used efficiently in jewel making. Only 10 percent of the total mined turquoise is of gem quality that is they can be used in jewel making without stabilization. The price of natural turquoise gemstone beads is quite high but when it is dyed it is priced low.  Turquoise Gemstone Beads come in various shapes and sizes and they can be used in many different forms in earrings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces. In markets however dyed magnesite is sold as turquoise and the customers can get cheated if he is unaware of the properties.
