Men’s Wrist Watches To Suit Your Harley Lifestyle

When it comes to men’s wrist watches, there are certainly many options to select from today. But, for most men who ride motorcycles, military watches are the style of choice. This is particularly true of Harley Davidson fans. Their unique style often dictates fashion choices from head to toe, including wrist watches.

Not only do military wrist watches fit nicely into the Harley Davidson style, the non-reflective metals and plastics used on many military watches also make them perfect for quickly and easily seeing what time it is while riding on the open road.

Interestingly, military wrist watches didn’t even exist prior to World War I. In fact, wrist watches were considered to be a woman’s fashion element. As such, men used pocket watches instead of wearing wrist watches.

Of course, it didn’t take long before men began to realize that wrist watches were far more convenient to use than a pocket watch. To that end, wrist watches for men began to appear during World War I, though most of these were simply pocket watches that had been converted to be worn on the wrist.

Although it is unclear as to when the first official U.S. military wrist watches became available, it is certain that these watches have been around for at least 100 years. Many enlisted military personnel, however, often chose to wear their own watches rather than using those issued by the military.

Today, military personnel are free to select the watches they prefer, though certain jobs require watches made with non-reflective metals or plastics. Some areas where soldiers may be required to select wrist watches made with non-reflective metals include pilots, divers and certain occupational specialties

Of course, you don’t have to be in the military to enjoy the style and convenience of military men’s wrist watches. For those who are currently enlisted or are Veterans, purchasing a military watch containing the insignia of a specific branch of the military is the perfect way to show their pride. For others, military wrist watches are simply a great way to show their individual personality and style, while also enjoying all of the features that military watches have to offer.
